Open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 10 AM – 12 PM & 1 PM – 4 PM

  • The Salvation Army Hope House, rooted in the mission to share the gospel of Jesus Christ and compassionately address human needs without discrimination, invites you to join us in our transformative journey in Nassau County. Our commitment is twofold: uplifting individuals during their moments of need and bolstering other ministries and organizations to enrich our community.

Our initiatives are not solitary efforts but a testament to God's grace, uniting volunteers and donors inspired to work collaboratively for a greater cause:

  • Compassionate Provision: Our Free Clothes Closet & Emergency Food Pantry, open Monday and Friday from 1:30-3:30 PM, provides clothing, linens, toiletries, and household items donated by local businesses, churches, and individuals. Our food supply is maintained through community partnerships and grants.
  • Financial Empowerment: We offer targeted financial assistance to households facing crises or transitions, ensuring sustained stability. Funded by government grants and donations from corporations and individuals, we also run programs like "Move That Mountain" aimed at supporting the working population.
  • Transportation Assistance: Unique in Northeast Florida, we offer essential travel and gas assistance. In 2024, we provided 215 travel orders to 184 people from 96 households, including gas, bus/train tickets, and more, thanks to private donations and occasional grants.
  • Inclusive Worship and Study: Our weekly worship service (Tuesdays at 12:00 Noon) is a mosaic of diverse backgrounds and denominations, united in studying God's Word and uplifting each other in fellowship.
  • Community Engagement: We offer opportunities for high school students and those on probation to fulfill their community service, engaging in meaningful work like bell ringing and other seasonal projects. We mentor and encourage participants, fostering a spirit of giving back.
  • Resources: We equip our community members with essential resources like a telephone, copy machine, scanner, and computer to support their job applications, communications, and document management.

Every contribution, regardless of its nature, is invaluable. Whether you offer your time, skills, financial support, advocacy, or prayers, your generosity is fundamental to our mission and deeply appreciated. May you be abundantly blessed for your kindness and compassion.

Community Meal Services: As a host for both the Interfaith Dinner Network (IDN) and the Coalition for the Homeless, we extend our facility to provide meals to those in need on designated days, underscoring our commitment to community service. Dinner is served on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 5 PM – 6 PM, excluding holidays, while breakfast is offered by the Coalition for the Homeless on Saturday mornings.

Your support, through sponsorship, donations, or volunteering, represents a powerful expression of love and hope. Join our mission of compassion and transformation and see the significant impact your contribution can have on many lives.
