Publix Charities Awards $30k Hunger Relief Grant to The Salvation Army of NE Florida
Jacksonville, FL (Oct. 3, 2025)– The Salvation Army of Northeast Florida is proud to announce it has received a $30,000 2025 Hunger Relief Grant from Publix Super Markets Charities. This generous support will directly benefit the Towers Center of Hope Food Services, located at 900 W. Adams Street, which provides essential meals to individuals in need throughout the community.
The Towers Center of Hope serves cafeteria-style meals three times a day, 365 days a year, to participants in The Salvation Army’s emergency and transitional shelter programs. In 2024 alone, the program provided over 75,000 nourishing meals to individuals experiencing homelessness or food insecurity.
This Publix Super Markets Charities grant will help sustain and enhance the critical food service operations at The Salvation Army of Northeast Florida, ensuring that vulnerable individuals continue to receive nutritious meals in a safe, welcoming environment.

Publix Super Markets Charities support various types of nonprofit organizations across the Southeast, with a primary focus on helping youth, promoting education, alleviating hunger and reducing homelessness.
The Salvation Army has been serving the hurting, the homeless and the hopeless in Jacksonville, Florida since 1891. It’s recognized internationally for its conscientious use of all donations and for its services to those in need, as well as for its programs addressing substance abuse, domestic violence, and for its rapid and ready emergency disaster response.
